Susan Lembo Balik is a New Jersey–based poet who debuted her first collection, Broken Symmetry, in 2023. As she prepared for a small book tour, hosting poetry readings at local libraries and independent bookshops, she needed a simple, thoughtful digital presence to establish credibility and support book sales.

I partnered with Susan to design a website that felt authentic to her voice, work, and lifestyle.

PROJECT GOALS:

• Design a minimal site that reflected Susan’s writing style and personal aesthetic.

• Plan and execute a photoshoot at her farm to build a cohesive image library for the site and future content use.

• Review and distill her writing to establish a clear, consistent tone that translated naturally from page to screen.

The result was a clean, understated website that supported Susan’s book tour, strengthened her credibility as a published author, and helped her connect more directly with her audience, contributing to higher-than-anticipated book sales.
